Ingredients

Instructions

  • Peel the pineapple, remove the core, and slice it into 1/2-inch thick rings or wedges.
  • In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, brown sugar, ground cinnamon, and vanilla extract. Stir until the mixture is smooth and well combined.
  • Preheat your grill or grill pan to medium-high heat. Lightly oil the grates or surface to prevent sticking.
  • Brush both sides of the pineapple slices generously with the brown sugar mixture.
  • Place the pineapple slices on the grill and cook for about 3-5 minutes per side, or until grill marks appear and the edges caramelize.
  • Remove the pineapple from the grill and let it cool for 1-2 minutes before serving.
  • Serve warm as a dessert or a sweet side dish, optionally paired with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream (ensure halal-certified if using).

Notes

For best results, use a ripe pineapple. You can substitute coconut oil for butter to make it dairy-free.
